Picton is a beautiful spot and the picton hotel is a great pub. It's being done up at the moment but that doesn't stop the food being awesome! I had the beef burger...it was huge and really tasty. All up I rate the picton hotel 4 stars and i think it'll reach 5 when the renos are complete.
It's my local to meet friends after work. The food for lunch anyway is good. There is outside dining for smokers. With umbrellas. Inside dining with air conditioning. Grog pub pricing. It's always dearer
Great food and even better service. Very friendly professional staff always willing to help even when they are extremely busy. Hotel itself is moderate and plain with no activities for kids and no separate smoking and non smoking areas outside but it is a simple pub in a small town after all.
Food is great! Pub is in a terrible condition after the floods 2 years ago. Flooring isn't complete after floor tiles were pulled up due to the flood.
A good place to have a beer. I like the fireplaces here. It would be good if they were working all through winter. The staff are great. Would like if the good old Reschs came back here.
